| Dietary Janitor |

The Dietary Janitor is responsible for cleaning the kitchen. Sweep the dry storage area. Sweep under the shelves. Wash the storage area floor and under the shelves. Rinse the floor area with hot clear water. Move the smaller equipment to the back hall plate holder, cup racks, glass racks, etc. Sweep the kitchen area. Be sure to get under the counters and stoves.
Remove the large mats and take to the garage to clean, use detergent. Spray the mats in the maintenance hallway. Stand up to let dry before returning to the kitchen. Empty all the wastebaskets in the kitchen and the dietary office. Take all trash out to the trash dumpster and run the trash smasher. Wash inside and outside of all thrash cans. Clean Dollies. Put trash bags in all containers. Wash the kitchen floor. Be sure to wash under the counters and cook areas. Fill mop bucket with hot water and rinse the kitchen floor. Sweep the chemical storeroom. Wash the floor with detergent and rinse with hot clean water. Bring back mats and place by dish machine, pot and pan area, and counter areas. Sweep walk in cooler and freezer. Be sure to get under shelves. Mop cooler floor with detergent. Use freezer floor cleaner on freezer floor as needed. Clean exhaust hood every 6 weeks.

All Universal Workers required to complete annual 12-hour-in-service training programs, CCDI Training, and the Sanitation & Food Safety Course.
• Ability to maintain the tenant’s sense of comfort.
• Ability to maintain the tenant’s need for privacy
• Complete 12 inservice meetings per year.
• Ability to perform:
• Escorts/transferring techniques
• Tub bath, shower
• Dressing
• Grooming (file nails, hair care, skin care)
• Toileting
• Proper infection control procedures (including protection from BB Pathogens)
